How did your club find out about Clubshopsales?
We were introduced to the concept by the league that we play in. They recognised that for small clubs like ours the clubshopsales service would be a good idea and have promoted it across the league.
Why did your club choose to use Clubshopsales?
Because of the effort it takes to buy our own stuff in, get it liveried with the club logo and get paid we hadn’t had any new kit for a while. When clubshopsales said they would do it all for us and pay us for the privilege it seemed a bit too good to be true but once they explained how it worked it was clear we couldn’t lose, either as a club or as its members.
How long did it take to set the shop up?
No time really, clubshopsales did it for us. All we had to do was supply a logo and approve the sample they put together. Once that was done all I had to do was tell the members where to look and leave it up to them.
Do you have any say in what products your members can buy?
To a degree but part of the attraction is that we just leave them to it. They are the professionals, we just play cricket. However if there are some things we would like we can ask for them and if they can be supplied from stock like the standard items clubshopsales is happy to add them to the product list.
How would you describe the quality and price of the products?
The clothing is good quality across the board and the cricket specific clothing is Surridge, which is a brand the members are comfortable with. The colours match ours well and the pricing is very competitive, especially considering the members are buying single items and having the club logo embroidered as well.
What are the top three benefits of clubshopsales for your club?
- The fact that we have spared a valuable volunteer. This is a small, village club where most if not all of the management have jobs and other commitments so to be able to leave it to others and still get a better offering than we have had before has been excellent.
- We get paid as a club for everything the members buy. We get a statement every quarter and a cheque for our part of the deal.
- As a club we spent no money up front, not needing to carry any stock or wait on payments from members.
